Institution & Education

SMK NAKHODA INTAN @ PENANG

Located in Seberang Perai Utara, SMK Nakhoda Intan (SMK N.I) is envisioned as a contemporary school-in-a-park campus that responds to the growing educational demands of the northern district. The development comprises a series of multi-storey academic and administrative blocks arranged in an efficient, interconnected layout that maximises natural daylight and cross-ventilation, an essential strategy for the tropical climate. Architecturally, the campus adopts a clean, modern expression defined by a restrained palette of cool greys and whites, complemented by pitched roofs that subtly reinterpret traditional Malaysian forms within a refined institutional character.

The master plan carefully integrates spiritual, recreational, and communal facilities to support holistic student development. A centrally located multipurpose hall and a dedicated musolla act as key community anchors, both designed with generous volumes, high ceilings, and flexible open-plan spaces to accommodate assemblies, events, and daily prayers. Adjacent to these facilities, a full-sized sports field functions as a prominent green lung for the campus while providing a professional-grade environment for physical education. Together with landscaped open spaces and sheltered pedestrian linkages, the design creates a cohesive learning environment that balances academic functionality, environmental comfort, and student well-being.

ANGSANA RESIDENSI Unikl @ kl

This high density student residential development for UniKL in Kuala Lumpur exemplifies contemporary urban institutional architecture, designed to maximise vertical living within a compact city footprint. The project comprises a multi tiered podium accommodating parking and commercial functions, crowned by sleek high rise residential towers articulated with a rhythmic composition of recessed balconies and strong vertical accents. The façade adopts a sophisticated palette of charcoal grey, white, and warm terracotta, enlivened by vibrant blue and yellow highlights that reflect UniKL’s corporate identity. This vertical configuration responds effectively to land constraints in the capital while establishing a distinctive landmark that embodies a dynamic, youth oriented campus environment.

The architectural programme is driven by a live learn play concept that integrates residential, social, and academic spaces within a single cohesive development. A prominent grand entrance, expressed through double volume spaces and large scale digital or static branding elements, creates a clear sense of arrival and institutional identity. Beyond the private living units, the design introduces generous semi outdoor communal areas such as landscaped sky terraces and sheltered social lounges that promote interaction, collaboration, and informal learning. These shared spaces are enhanced with quality finishes, contemporary street furniture, and abundant greenery, offering students a calm retreat from the intensity of Kuala Lumpur’s urban setting while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding city.
