The architectural design of the Al-Farabi Dialysis Centre presents a refined balance between contemporary expression and functional healthcare planning. The facade is composed of clean, linear forms that combine glass curtain walls with solid white masonry, reinforcing a sense of transparency, hygiene, and order appropriate for a medical environment. Vertical rhythmic screening frames the primary signage zones, introducing a modern industrial character while providing effective solar shading. Prominent illuminated branding and integrated digital displays enhance visibility and identity, while the recessed ground floor entrance creates a sheltered, welcoming transition for patients arriving by vehicle or on foot.
After dark, the building is redefined through a carefully considered lighting strategy that accentuates its geometry and reinforces its professional image. Cool toned LED backlit signage for “Dialysis Centre” and “Al-Farabi Clinic” establishes a strong visual presence, conveying advanced technology and reliable care. Subtle accent lighting along the vertical fins and glazed entrances adds depth and articulation to the facade, clearly expressing the building’s multi level organization. Overall, the design achieves a confident urban presence that meets clinical requirements while remaining approachable, contemporary, and reassuring for its users.

The centre is a psychological education complex designed to support people with hearing loss and their families through a calm, inclusive, and therapeutic environment. Adopting a contemporary pavilion-style architectural approach, the design emphasizes openness and clarity in spatial organization to reduce stress and enhance orientation. Strong horizontal planes and open-plan layouts encourage visual connectivity, while a warm material palette of salmon-toned brick, exposed concrete, and black structural steel creates a welcoming yet dignified atmosphere. Brick latticework is thoughtfully integrated to provide privacy, filtered natural light, and passive ventilation, ensuring comfort without isolation.
The spatial planning prioritizes accessibility, emotional wellbeing, and family interaction through wide circulation paths, gently sloped ramps, and light-filled communal galleries. Translucent canopy roofs offer protection from the elements while maintaining an airy and uplifting spatial quality. Key interior spaces such as therapy rooms, learning areas, and communal lounges are designed with generous glazing that maintains a continuous connection to landscaped courtyards. By fostering a strong relationship between indoor spaces, nature, and human interaction, the centre creates a supportive setting that promotes psychological healing, education, and long-term resilience for individuals with hearing loss and their families.
